Today Vjosa Osmani's term as president ends, Albulen Haxhiu receives office

After five years at the head of the state, Vjosa Osmani, this afternoon will hand over the office of president. From the ceremony, which was scheduled to begin at 4: 00 p.m., this task as its fraud will be taken by Parliament Speaker Albulen Haxhiu.

Osman was five years ago taking office with Vetevendosje's support, managed to secure a second term, though, the desire for such a thing had clearly been expressed.

The president's issue is the main topic of discussions in the political sphere, since last year's elections.

While constantly part of the debate and discussion, the issue has yet to be resolved. MPs, as the Constitutionor decided a few days ago, have deadlines about the end of this month to elect the new head of state, otherwise, the country goes to the polls.

The reason for the cramp is certainly the lack of numbers on any side in this case. Vetevendosje, which has already made its two proposals -- Fatmire Kolcak's Glauk Konjufca -- sukka enough MPs to proceed further with the election of the country's first.

On the other hand, the opposition has been calling for consensus candidates all the time. Therefore, they have refused to vote for VV) candidates.

However, the first executive has warned that in the coming days it will meet with leaders of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, and of the Democratic League of Kosovo, for discussions on the issue.

For the latter, Lutfi Haziri last night confirmed that Lumir Abdixhiku will meet Kurt on Monday morning. On the other hand, there is still a date announced for a meeting between Kurt and Bedri Hamza of PDK.

These will be the only meetings since these three in separate meetings met weeks ago, but, you know, meetings that didn't work.
