Trump claims this decision comes after talks with Pakistan's prime minister, Shefbas Sharif, and with Pakistani military chief Asim Munir.

“Based in talks with Prime Minister Shephas Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir of Pakistan, and since they demanded that I stop the destructive force being sent to Iran tonight, and provided the Islamic Republic of Iran agrees on the PLOYCENT, MURGES of Hormuz Strait, I agree to suspend the bombing and attack on Iran for a two-week period. This is going to be a double-side ARPUSM!

The reason for that is that we have already fulfilled and exceeded all military objectives, and we are well ahead in reaching a final agreement for Long-term PACE with Iran, as well as for PEACE in the Middle East.

We have received a proposal with 10 points from Iran and believe it is a feasible basis for negotiations. Almost all the different points of the past disputes have been agreed on between the United States and Iran, but a two-week period will allow the agreement to be finalised and concluded.
