Starmer: There is much work to do in the Strait of Hormuz

Keir Starmer is in Saudi Arabia for a visit to the Middle East.

The prime minister of the United Kingdom said during the visit there is still a lot of work left to do” to reopen the route of oil and gas shipping and Hormuz Strait gas.

The “is still early”, he adds, while he says there is a true “awareness” relief after the ceasefire agreement reached last night.

Starmer adds that those at the military base he was visiting as well as the people in the United Kingdom will want this relief “to be permanent”.
