NATO-led Kosovo forces (KFOR), explosive disposal operators (EOD) from Austria, Italy and Romania, assigned to the Joint Group for Logistic Support (JLSG) and operating under the co-ordination of the Joint KFOR Staff Engineers ( HQ J-Eng, held a joint training activity with the Math-Kosovo Training Centre (TC) in the desolidisation range at Harilaq/Ariljac.
The event was held in a specific area, in full accordance with established safety and environmental protection procedures.
This regular activity reflects KFOR's continued commitment to co-operate with local institutions, strengthen partnerships and contribute to a safe environment for all people living in Kosovo.
KFOR continues to implement its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 in 1999 to contribute to a safe environment for all people living in Kosovo and freedom of movement at any time and impartially. KFOR works in close co-ordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union's Mission for Law Rule in Kosovo (EULEX), in their respective roles as security responders.
