In their response, the KLA's OVL stresses that while the search for missing persons from the war is still continuing in Kosovo, Serbia is continuing to clone figures linked to crimes committed during the war in Kosovo.
“Elevating figures directly linked to the state genocide of the Albanian people, Serbia's Assembly proves that this state has not repented of its criminal past,”, said in response.
The KLA's OVL has also called for clear and firm response from the United States and the European Union, warning that silence to these actions constitutes moral co-existence.
“We demand that the US and the EU react strongly to this unprecedented decision, because silence in the face of Narratives that rehabilitate crimes against humanity is moral co-existence”, said their response.
Otherwise days earlier in Serbia's Parliament, exhibitions have been opened dedicated to the Special Police Units and their Commander, Obrad Stevanovic.
The images from its opening have also shown Serbia's Minister of Internal Affairs Ivica Dacic, former spokeswoman for Slobodan Milosevic, holding hands and smiling at veterans, a gesture that has been seen as bypassing facts documented for war crimes.
By human rights organisations, this exhibition is being described as an attempt at historical revision and distorting the facts of war in Kosovo.
