End of escape, fugitive extradited from Hungary to Kosovo

A Kosovo citizen, who was wanted on international warrant for several criminal acts, has been extradited from Hungary to Kosovo.
He was arrested by Hungarian authorities following the request of Kosovo institutions through INTERPOL.
Kosovo police announced that the extradition was realised on July 7th 2026 by the Directorate for International Police Co-operation, in co-operation with Kosovo Police relevant units, justice institutions and Hungarian authorities.
“The suspect was required with international paper-lined warrants issued by Kosovo's law institutions for criminal acts “Without permission” and “Evidence Watch”, while attempting to evade justice”, the police report said.
After arriving in Kosovo, he was handed over to relevant police units for continuing legal procedures.
Kosovo police stressed that they will continue co-operation and exchange of information with local institutions, partner states and international organisations, with the aim of preventing, investigating and uncovering criminal acts, as well as tracking and arresting wanted persons at home and abroad.
