The super rich are now looking back from Europe, and Milan, the Italian financial centre, has risen to the top of the list of most desirable destinations, reports The Guardian.
<x0thlalia offers the best conditions, flat taxes and a high quality of living,” says Armand Arton, a consultant helping multimmillionrs and billionaires move through citizenship programmes for investors.
“People who leave the United Arab Emirates can easily imagine themselves living in Rome or Milan, large international and urban centres. ”
Milan is already home to some of Europe's richest bankers, lawyers and investors, making the city an attractive destination for rich people seeking high living qualities and fiscal benefits.
Under Italy's flat-rate tax system, foreign residents can pay 300,000 euros annually for all foreign incomes -- a negligible sum for multimillionrs and billionaires.
