She has said that the US message to Kosovo's top diplomat, Glauk Konjufca, and Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djurovic is that the only way ahead is normalisation.
“We appreciate the fact that the people of Kosovo and Serbia are our friends. They deserve a future without political tensions and recycled problems. Our message to Mr. Djurd and Mr. Konjufca are simple. The only way ahead is normalization”, she said.
The US representative has said US President Donald Trump and the American people are watching carefully that Kosovo and Serbia pledge to work together towards the future.
“Z. Trump and Americans are listening very carefully that you can clearly pledge to work and promote together”, Bruce declared.
She has said the US hopes to see as Kurti and Vuciq lower tensions and sit at the table, suggesting Washington will work closely with leaders looking to the future rather than the past.
“Hopefully Prime Minister Kurti and President Vuciq will reduce temperatures, avoid eskating and sitting at the table. We will work closely with leaders who look to the future, not the past. With a real dialogue, not theatre”, she said.
