Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Melon has suspended the defence agreement with Israel, which includes exchanging military equipment and technological research, Italian media reports.
The government, in light of the situation we are experiencing, has decided to suspend the automatic renewal of the defence agreement with Israel”, Melon said, according to the newspaper La Repubblica.
Earlier, in 2024, Melon had suspended all arms sales for Israel because of Gaza's Belt bombings after the October 7th attack.
