Meanwhile, the upcoming Hungarian prime minister Peter Magyar warned of the deportation of former Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski.
At a press conference, Magyar asked reporters for two former Polish ministers, wanted for corruption by Poland's new government, while finding refuge and receiving asylum in Hungary, said they, including Gruevski, would not stay in Hungary for long.
“Hungary will not become the depot for wanted international criminals. This applies not only to former Polish ministers but also to Nikola Gruevski. After all, he is the former prime minister of northern Macedonia and the fugitive”, Magyar said.
Former Prime Minister Gruevski has been on the run since 2018, when following an all-powerful decision on the case “Tank” was sentenced to 2 years in prison. Gruevski received asylum in Hungary on the basis of claims that he is politically persecuted by then Prime Minister Zoran Zaev.
In 2019, Hungary officially rejected Northern Macedonia's request for extradition. /Alsat/
