Kosovo hotels increase number of visitors

This year's February month has brought a notable increase in activity in Kosovo's hotel sector, reflecting a positive trend of visits and positions compared to the same period in the preceding year. Data shows that interest in staying in hotels has increased by both local and [...] visitors.
The data shows that interest in staying in hotels has increased by both local and international visitors.
In total, 56,644 visitors, out of whom 24,416 were locals, while 32,228 visitors were foreigners. Compared to February 2025, when the total number of visitors was 51,795, this represents an increase of 9.4%, proving a revival of the tourism and hotel sector in the country.
The increase is reflected not only in the number of visitors but also in the length of their stay.
The total number of nights reached 112,367, where 60,513 nights (53.8%) belong to foreign visitors, while 51,854 nights (46.1%) local visitors. This shows that foreign visitors are not only coming more, but are staying longer in Kosovo.
As for foreign visitors, data shows a significant increase of 16.1% compared to February 2025. In particular, some states dominate the tourist origin list.
Visitors from Albania continue to make up the largest number, with 10,820 visitors in February 2026, though this represents a 10.2% drop compared to a year ago. Likewise, net-centerings from this state have suffered a 23.4% decline, dropping to 15,026.
On the other hand, a strong increase is seen in visitors from Germany who reached 3,175 visitors, or 26.5% more than in 2025. Even provisions from this country have increased significantly, marking 6,851 nights, which translates into a 43.0% increase.
Positive growth also marks Switzerland, with 2,300 visitors (+7.3%) and 4,342 articles (+26.9%), witnessing a stable interest from the diaspora and tourists from this country.
Meanwhile, Turkey has scored a decline, with 2,637 visitors (21.4%) and 4,177 net stays (-5.7%), showing a slight decline in flow from this market.
A significant increase is noted in the group of other states, where the number of visitors has reached 13,296 (+15.6%), while net stays have increased to 30,117 (+27.9%).
In general, this data shows that Kosovo's hotel sector is continuing to recover and expand, with a steady increase in interest by foreign visitors.
