Key points by Kosovo Parliament Resolution for Protection of Historical Truth of Kosovo

The resolution, presented by the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) for the protection of the historic truth of the war in Kosovo, has successfully passed to the Kosovo Assembly. The proposal received 90 votes for, none against and no abstention. PDK MP Nat Hasani presented the main points of the resolution, stressing the importance of documenting [the...] crimes.

The resolution, presented by the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) for the protection of the historic truth of the war in Kosovo, has successfully passed to the Kosovo Assembly. The proposal received 90 votes for, none against and no abstention.

PDK MP Nat Hasani presented the main points of the resolution, stressing the importance of documenting war crimes and affirming the sacrifice of the Albanian people.

1.T HEKSON is the responsibility of institutions of the Republic of Kosovo to conduct research and documentation of crimes committed by Serbia during the war in Kosovo. The only confirmed data on Serbia's crimes in Kosovo is official data from the Institute of Chief Crimes during the war in Kosovo;

2. IKURY justice institutions to continue the work, which has been launched with even greater commitment to investigating and judging war crimes committed by Serbia in Kosovo, taking advantage of even more the recent legal changes in investigating and judging Serbia's war crimes in Kosovo;

3. THE submilitive sacrifice of the Albanian people, of all the martyrs of the nation, of the fallen and all those who in any way contributed and sacrificed for freedom and independence;

4.SINCE any official or other effort, as well as any public officials' statements aimed at or committed to the amnesty of Serbia by responsibility for crimes committed during the war in Kosovo;

5.SINCE any form of error, relativism or incorrect presentation of historical facts related to the war in Kosovo 19981999;

6.SINCE initiatives such as the latest exhibition organised in public spaces in Pristina, which, with inaccuracies in the data on the massacres of Serbia in Kosovo, fuel wide reactions and provoke recuperation of pain by jeopardising the deformity of truth and historical facts;

7. FTON The Institute of Internal Crimes during the War in Kosovo, which the sooner investigate and document precise data on the massacres committed by Serbia in Kosovo and reflect historical truth accurately and fully;

8. SHOW all state institutions, academic institutions and research institutes, media, nongovernmental organisations, community and field professionals, citizens and family members of victims to engage in the collection of materials, facts, evidence, evidence and arguments by storing them at the Institute of Chief Crimes during the Kosovo War;

9. MB STATES and encourages preparations to sue Serbia for genocide crimes committed in Kosovo;

10. FTON justice organs to conduct a thorough, independent and impartial investigation into the eventual presence of criminal elements in the case of presenting inaccurate data and making clear to the end possible cases of this nature;

11. O B LIGON the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Presidency to react in real time and proportionally to cases where, through various international forums or public declaration, the truth of the recent war in Kosovo is attacked;

12. O B LIGON institutions responsible for any public activity, exhibition or publication that deals with the war period based on verified and confirmed sources by the Institute of the Crimes during the War in Kosovo, any scientific credit-based think-tank, as well as on final decisions of justice institutions, to avoid any interpretation that violates the dignity of victims and the truth of the liberation war;

13. INKURY the academic community, civil society and researchers to contribute to the accurate and factual record of war history in Kosovo;

14.IT IS hoped that he will take the legislative actions needed to fulfil the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo in order to provide convictions for those who deny or minimize crimes committed by Serbia during the 1998 (1999) war. Also, it vows to present sentences to those who commit actions that violate the dignity of victims, approve, degregise or justify the tyranny and arbitrary rule of Serbia, as well as its crimes committed in Kosovo or spread Serbia's propaganda.

15.SERVANT that the Parliament and any other central or local institution in the Republic of Kosovo, before supporting financially or in any way, activities aimed at presenting the war period or containing elements from the war period, to make sure of material content, accuracy of data and historical truth;

16. THE funding or support of organisations that perform or promote projects that distort historical truth and insult victims;

17.KONFRIMMON its full and continued commitment to the Republic of Kosovo for protection, preservation and promotion of historical truth as one of the fundamental pillars of state, constitutional and democratic identity of the Republic of Kosovo, stressing that this truth constitutes the basis of building civic faith, educating new generations, and strengthening the legitimacy of the state in the domestic and international plan; and the commitment to take any necessary institutional and legal action to prevent and reject any attempts to distort, relating or denying historical facts related to the war and sacrifice.
