Keir Starmer has declared that the United Kingdom “does not support a” blockade of Iranian ports.
He says Britain's reaction is focused on opening Hormuz Strait, because “this is the way we cut energy prices as quickly as we can, writes the BBC.
Asked whether he personally holds US President Donald Trump responsible for the impact on energy bills in the United Kingdom, Starmer does not provide a direct answer. He says the most important “ ” that he can do is to unite countries to call for deceleration and opening the strait.
He adds that it is Iran that has caused restrictions on circulation in the Persian Gulf and says the United Kingdom is not withdrawing to war.
