They have said that this decision, although it may have had social intent, turns out to be inefficient and well-agred.
“According to GDP estimates, about 40% of these tools have left during the holiday and weekends outside Kosovo, mainly in Albania, northern Macedonia, Montenegro and Greece, making a significant part of the public money not affect the development of the local economy. The GDP estimates that these tools would have produced much greater effect if they were directed towards supporting the private sector, increasing local production, subsidising investments, or supporting businesses that create new jobs”, it wrote KB in response.
They have said that equal treatment between the public and private sectors creates imbalances in the market and hurts fair competition.
“in a time of economic challenges and price increases, institutions should focus on policies that keep capital within the country and generate sustainable economic development”, said in response.
