Israeli opposition leader Jair Lapid has sharply criticised the way Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu managed the war situation following Netanyah's statement overnight in support of the ceasefire proposed by US President Donald Trump. Lapid has called the situation a <x0 political disaster” for Israel. “Israel was not even at the negotiating table when decisions related to our national security were made,” said.
He added that “the military did everything they asked for, the public showed extraordinary stability, but Netanyah failed politically, failed strategically and fulfilled none of the goals he himself set. ”
Netanyah's office announced that the two-week ceasefire would not involve Lebanon, though Iran and Pakistan said the agreement would include this country as well.
