Vice President of the United States, JD Vance, today, stated that recent American attacks on Kharg Island had only targeted military targets, without affecting energy infrastructure.
Kharg Island houses one of Iran's main oil export terminals and is considered a vital hub for the country's economy.
Earlier, Trump had left open the possibility of sending American troops to take control of the island.
