Hamza: Country in political crisis, elections chance for change to say enough blockades

The president of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Bedri Hamza, a day after the decision to elect the president, has reacted through a video education to citizens, stressing that the country is facing the consequences of its lack of political will by the parliamentary majority. In times of challenge, it is natural to feel insecure. But it is equally important to maintain our peace, trust, and devotion to our country,”, Hamza said.
He thanked citizens for responding to recent developments, stressing: “We faced a development that raised concerns, but our response was clear, decisive and uncompetitive. ”
Hamza recalled that it has been more than a year since the February 9th 2025 elections, naming this period as fraught with uncertainty and delays.
During this time, you have voted twice and are now being asked to vote for the third time. Not as a result of your will, but because of the wrong political decisions of this government,” he declared.
Header The PDK criticised the current governance for lack of direction and concrete results.
“instead of governance, we had stagnation. Instead of improving prosperity, we had worsening and increasing the cost of living. Instead of developing, we had blockades,” said Hamza.
He added that this situation has direct consequences for citizens: “political instability has real costs and that cost falls on you, on our citizens. ”
In the end, Hamza stressed that elections represent an opportunity for change and for restoring confidence in institutions.
This is an opportunity to say a lot about the policy of blockade, division and irresponsibly... I ask that you believe in our Kosovo, because the best days are ahead of us,” he concluded.
