A U.S. fighter plane reportedly crashed over Iran

Iran crashed an American fighter plane on Friday, launching a search by both sides for the surviving crew, while war seemed to intensify with President Donald Trump threatening with more attacks on civilian infrastructure.

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps said it was controlling an area close to where the plane crashed in southwest Iran. The regional governor promised a praise to anyone who caught or killed the pilot, Reuters reports, broadcast Klankosova.tv.

An American military official confirmed that a fighter plane had crashed and a search was under way.

Iranian news agencies said American helicopters were flying low on visible search missions and broadcast videos of residents shooting at them.
