The serious event occurred around 11:45 on the “Remzi Hoxha” road, where, according to the Kosovo Police, the 59-year-old victim has fallen during the work on the site. The emergency teams, after they arrived at the scene, calculated his death.

Police spokesman for the Ferizaj region, Wessel Canun, indicated that immediately after receiving information, police patrols have secured the scene, while investigative units, forensics and labour inspectors have also emerged in the country.

Regarding the case, the Constitutional Prosecutor at Ferizaj has detained a suspected person with N.E. initials. 48 hours.

According to the official announcement, he is suspected of criminal activity “Invasion, damage or removal of protective equipment and risking security at work”.

“With the State Prosecutor's decision, a person suspected of 48 hours has been detained, due to suspicion of risking security at the workplace”, the prosecution's announcement said.

The state prosecutor has instructed the Kosovo Police and the Labour Inspectorate to take all investigative actions to fully whiteen the circumstances of this tragic event.

Meanwhile, at the prosecutor's order, the victim's lifeless body has been sent to the Institute of Legal Medicine in Pristina.

Authorities have indicated that further actions on the suspects will be taken within legal terms.
