The United States failed to win the Iranian delegation's confidence in the talks in Islamabad, according to Iranian negotiators' leader Mohammad Bagher Ghalibach, CNN reports.
Before the negotiations, I stressed that we have the good will and the necessary determination, but due to experiences from the previous two wars, we do not trust the other side”, Ghalibach wrote on the X after 21 hours of talks.
My <x0.>Colegs in the Iranian delegation presented 168 constructive and visionary proposals ahead, yet the opposing side ultimately failed in this round of talks to win the delegation's confidence”.
“America understood our logic and principles, and now it is time for it to decide whether it can gain our trust or not”, Ghalibach added in his post.
Ghalibaf, who is the president of Iran's Iranian and veteran Islamic regime, said diplomacy was a different approach than the military struggle to ensure the rights of the Iranian nation, and we will never stop our efforts to consolidate the achievements of the Iranians' 40-day national defence”.
