EU laments Serbia has yet to follow responsibilities of attack in Banjska

The European Union has told Free Europe Radio on Monday that it expresses regret that Serbia has not yet taken the necessary steps to face justice for the attack on the village of Banjska in Kosovo in 2023. An EU spokesman has made these statements while commenting on the decision [...]
An EU spokesman has made these statements while commenting on the Constitutional Court's decision in Pristina, which on April 24th has convicted the three accused of the attack: Blagoje Spasojevich and Vladimir Toliqi to life in prison, while Dusan Maksovovici to 30 years in prison.
The attack on Banjska took place on September 24th 2023, after which Kosovo Police Sergeant Africa Bulnjak was killed.
Three Serb attackers were also killed in exchange for the shooting.
Milan Radoicic, that world's deputy chairman of the Serbian List, ʹthe largest Serbian party in Kosovo, which enjoys the backing of official Belgrade, took responsibility for the attack.
Three convicts have been part of the group of 45 people against whom Kosovo authorities, including Radocicin, have filed charges. Apart from the three convicts, the rest of the indictees are on the run.
For Kosovo authorities, Radoicicic has been “the leader of the terrorist group” and the attack has been organised by the state of Serbia. Belgrade, on the other hand, rejects these accusations.
Authorities in Kosovo have split the criminal procedures against Spasojevic, Toliqi and Maksimovic, who have been in custody since September 2023, while rejecting the Special Prosecutor's request for a lawsuit in absentia for 42 other defendants.
European Union institutions have regularly called on Belgrade authorities to determine responsibility for the attack and bring those responsible to justice.
However, despite calls from the European bloc, the United States and NATO, authorities in Serbia have not filed any charges, not even against Radojciqi, who is believed to be in Belgrade.
The Supreme Court in Belgrade has indicated that there is a verdict barring Radojic from his residence and has the obligation to appear in the police, while the Prosecutor's Office has not commented on any evental indictment.
