The Constitutional Court on Tuesday sentenced Vetevendosje MP Egzon Azemin and Government spokesman Arlind Mangja to one and a half years in prison for inciting division and failure. And two other activists were sentenced to 6 months in prison for being thrown out.
Azem has misjudged the decision to change the detention measure against Dejan Pantic, The former Kosovo Serb police police officer, arrested on December 10th 2022 under suspicion of organising the December 6th terrorist attack on officials of the Central Election Commission in the Serb-inhabited north.
And for Pantic's release, as well as his verdict against him and the others of LVV, Azemi accuses chief prosecutor Blerim Isufaj.
I highly doubt that behind all these lies Blerim Isufaj, who has led with the Special Prosecutor. His non-constructive approach, there is also a statement acknowledging that he has withdrawn his arrest of Radojici. For all these unjust decisions, the responsibility is to buy Isupouux... I doubt that the exhibits of This prosecutor may be blackmailed or afraid of such sources”, he said at “Kohax2>.
Azemi has stressed that the decision was not well received, calling it <x0political” and “incorrect”.
It was not a decision that we received well because we are convinced it is political, unfair, a decision that seeks to intimidate those who react against unjust judicial decisions. It is political because it is not the first case or the last that justice institutions, individuals within it, work more according to someone's agendas than according to the agendas of the Republic of Kosovo”, he has said.
He has further compared the case to them as being charged with that against Pantic.
The same prosecutor who sought detention against us released some Serbs who were arrested by police in the north yesterday or before yesterday, even though more provocative symbols were found against the state of Kosovo. The same prosecutor, the Special Prosecutor, released Dejan Pantiqi, who bombed the institutions and the same filed charges against us because I cited a national hero. What the Special Prosecutor in Kosovo does, it frees Serbian criminals and accuses us of reacting to them”, Azemi said.
