This is seen as a strategic opportunity to attract foreign investment and accelerate work on infrastructure in the capital, Kosova Preris reports.
These investments with particular emphasis were cited for organising the 2030 Mediterranean Games.
Before those present, through a video, has also sent a message to General Wesley Clark, who said he is proud of the people of Kosovo.
What we hope for in Kosovo is a strong, strong support from the international community for foreign direct investments in Kosovo. They are the vital source to move the country forward. We had them in the United States in the 19th century. We would never have become the industrial power we became without French, British, and German investments in American iron, steel, and railways. In Kosovo it will be different. You have extraordinary sources of low-quality but very valuable lignite. They're actually burning, but a lot can be done with them. You have a wonderful agricultural community. You have excellent ecology. You have mountains, skiing centers. There is a wonderful potential for foreign direct investment in all these areas. And of course, we need residence throughout the infrastructure. It's self-aware that I never know what will happen in the world. So when we talk about electricity, municipal water pipeline, energy supplies in general, residence is a major investment opportunity for Kosovo”, he has said.
On the other hand, General Clark also had a message for the government.
“So all these should be on the table this morning. I am very proud of the people of Kosovo. You've faced a lot during the 1980s and 1990s. You have earned your freedom and citizenship. And I was very pleased to see this, very proud to have returned and to be connected to many of you”, he said.
