Kosovo police, in co-operation with the Special Prosecutor, have arrested A.D., under suspicion of committing criminal acts “wage war crimes against the civilian population”.
The investigation relates to events occurring in the village of Ivaja and surrounding areas in the Kacanik municipality, where the suspect allegedly committed war crimes.
During the search at A.D.'s apartment, a gun, two clips, 30 rounds, an air hunt and a MUP uniform were found.
The Special Prosecutor and the Kosovo Police reaffirm their commitment to prosecution and investigation into all recent war crimes cases in the country.
War Crimes Suspect Arrested in the Kachanic Community
Pristina, 04 April 2026 police investigators from the War Crimes Investigation Directorate, at the order of the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo, have arrested A.D., under suspicion of carrying out criminal work “war crimes against the civilian population”.
The defendant A.D., allegedly committed war crimes in the village of Ivaja and surrounding villages in the Kacanik municipality.
During the implementation of the control order, they have been found and seized:
· A gun.
· Two mags
T minus 30 rounds
· An Air hunting gun
