Ali Ahmeti writes international paper on developments in northern Macedonia

The Democratic Union for Integration has announced that its chairman, Ali Ahmeti, has sent an open letter to international partners regarding recent political developments in the Republic of Northern Macedonia. According to the announcement, the letter dated April 3rd of this year has also been forwarded to ambassadors of European Union member states, as well as to world leaders and internationally recognised personalities.
As he has announced DUI, at the entrance of the letter, has stressed DUI's continued commitment to the full implementation of the Ohrid Agreement, the construction of a democratic and multiethnic state, as well as the country's Euro-Atlantic integration.
He has expressed concern for recent political developments affecting these achievements, including the removal of the balanceer's mechanism for fair and adequate representation of communities, challenges in functioning institutions that implement the Law on Use of Languages, and initiatives for minimising and countering this law to the Constitutional Court.
Through this letter, Ahmeti has requested the continued commitment and support of international partners for maintaining the achievements of the Ohrid Agreement, strengthening stability and advancing the Euro-Atlantic perspective of the Republic of Northern Macedonia.
