On April 9, 1999, KLA fighters, led by Brigade 138 “Agim Ramadani”, managed to break the border between Kosovo and Albania, paving the way for weapons supply and logistical support.
This battle, which lasted until June 10th 1999, took place under difficult conditions but with an extraordinary determination by Albanian fighters.
Breaking the border not only was of strategic importance but also symbolic, marking a major step towards Kosovo's liberation.
