As every year, the change from winter to summer will take place on the last Sunday of March. This year, this corresponds to the 29th, when clockwise at three o'clock should go an hour before and show four o'clock. The hour of saving light will remain in force until [...]
The hour of light saving will remain in force until Sunday, October 25th, 2026. The main purpose of this change is to save electricity. We save about 210 hours of energy through sunlight during the seven summer months.
In the 1970 ' s, under the influence of the oil crisis, most European countries began using this method to make better use of daylight.
Since 1996, Europe has a common regulation: in spring we return hours an hour before, and in autumn we return them an hour. The first test change took place in 1932, from July 6 to September 1, when the hours were set an hour earlier.
The change of clock, aimed at saving energy, also applies to countries like the United States and France, but has caused numerous debates.
Critics say that changing the clock can negatively affect health, increasing the risk of cardiovascular disease and immune system problems because the normal body cycle is interrupted. They also argue that energy savings is not always visible.
