Iran's Supreme Leader Calls for Revenge After His Father's Murder

Iran's supreme leader, Ajatolah Mojtaba Khamenei, has called for revenge after his father's death and ancestors in the post, Ali Khamenei.
In a statement read on state television, he said revenge is “the people's willover”.
That was his first public statement since the start of the mortar ceremonies for his father this week.
Ali Khamenei was killed on 28 February in an air strike on the first day of the war between the United States and Israel against Iran, writes BBC, .
During the last few days, many Iranians who attended the mortories have held banners with calls against US President Donald Trump.
He warned on Saturday that any plans for revenge against the US would bring sharp response, threatening to destroy all areas of Iran's”.
However, in his statement, Mojtaba Khamenei took a firm stand, saying Iran would retaliate for the murder of killed leader and victims of both wars.
“We pledge to avenge the blood of the martyr leader and all the martyrs of these two wars by the criminal murderers and shamed”, he was quoted as saying.
He added that the issue does not depend on his personal existence or that of other officials, claiming revenge will happen whether they are in power or not. /Periscope
