The Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo, through the War Crimes Investigation Department, has announced that he is carefully following developments about the “Mascurat exhibition in Kosovo 1998-1999”, located in “Mother Teresa” Square in the capital.
According to the announcement, the prosecution will submit the case to a detailed assessment to determine whether the exhibition contains elements that could bring criminal responsibility, in line with legal competencies and the State Prosecutor's mandate.
This response comes after concerns raised by citizens and public figures regarding the content of the exhibition and its impact on historical memory and collective sensitivity.
The prosecution has announced that it will act according to the law and that any decision on further steps will be publicly announced.
