Melza Haradinaj, adviser to President Vjosa Osmani, has reacted after Minister Nenad Rassic said Kurti had given 24 hectares to the Decani Monastery because of him.
Haradinaj said the issue affects Kosovo's sovereignty and cannot be treated as personal favour between the prime minister and ministers.
She said Serbia in Kosovo targets the “Mount Atos” model, as a case of specific autonomy within the state of Greece, where a church structure exercises broad self-government competencies.
Haradinaj's full post office:
I have always said: allowing the issue of the Orthodox Church of Serbia in dialogue and the Brussels Agreement (Pika 7) is among the most dangerous strategic failures of this government towards the Republic of Kosovo.
Point 7 ) formulating a special status for the Serbian Orthodox Church within Kosovo is a law and political project that risks creating unilateral privileges for a religious institution, discriminating other concessions in Kosovo: The Islamic Community and the Catholic Church. In the long term, this could become even more problematic than monoethnic association itself.
In a negotiated agreement and accepted From the government, reference to the European <x0-model” is neither naive nor unclear. Serbia has been targeting the model of Mount Athos with specific autonomy within the state of Greece, where a church structure exercises broad self-government competencies.
And while public servants are served patriotic slogans every day, reality comes out of the mouth of Serbian government ministers themselves. Minister Nenad Rassic's statement on the 24 hectares of the Decani Monastery is shocking: According to him, the decision was made “for his own sake”.
So, Kosovo land ʹ an issue affecting sovereignty, judicial precedents and equality before the law results in being treated as personal favour between the prime minister and his ministers.
Patriotism is measured by acts and decisions that protect the judicial sovereignty of the state, not by slogans and social media propaganda.
And when decisions on Kosovo's land are publicly reasoned as “for the sake of someone”, the mask of pseuda-patriotism falls itself.
