The Democratic Party of Kosovo considers the recent exhibition of the 19981999 war massacres unacceptable and scandalous, which distorts historical truth and seriously violates the dignity of victims and their families.
Any attempt to relative the crimes committed in Kosovo, to manipulate facts or distort truth, is not only unacceptable but also dangerous to collective memory and historical justice.
Since abroad, especially in The Hague, our glorious story is being rewritten, within it is being financed with state money and promoted by state representatives.
This raises serious doubts about institutional responsibility and the standards of verifying content affecting such sensitive national issues.
The Democratic Party of Kosovo demands:
* Full public clarification on how this exhibition is prepared and adopted.
* Identification and responsible support of all officials involved in its financing and promotion.
* Public apologies to the families of victims and citizens of the state of Kosovo.
* An investigation into possible elements of criminal acts, misuse of official duty, misuse of public money, and violation of public interest.
Kosovo cannot build its future on deforming the truth. Respect for the victims and protection of our history are fundamental state obligations.
The PDK will always stand in defense of the truth, the dignity of victims and the values of liberation warfare.
