On 24 March 1998, in Glodjan, the Kosovo Liberation Army held the frontal battle in this area, boldly facing forces of Serbia's genocide regime, which had surrounded the village and particularly the Haradinaj family, which became a symbol of resistance and freedom sacrifice.
On that glorious day, martyrs Hime Haradinaj, Gazmend and Agron Mehmetaj fell for freedom, becoming a part of our national history forever.
The era of Dukagjin is the memory and testament of sacrifice, courage and determination for freedom. It remains a permanent inspiration for generations to preserve and strengthen the state built on the blood of martyrs.
