Democratic League of Kosovo Chairman Lumir Abdixhiku has hosted the Emanuele Giaufret, Deputy Director for Western Europe at the European Foreign Action Service today.
During this meeting, the LDK announced that Obadiah discussed the party's position on current political developments in the country, with particular emphasis on the situation created over the issue of electing the president of the Republic and the role of Kosovo institutions in the process.
He underlined that the main responsibility for completing this process lies with the parliamentary majority, voicing the conviction that this process “should be resolved through a political agreement, rather than with the emponsion of”.
“Regarding the possibility of moving to new elections, Mayor Abdjik stressed that the Democratic League of Kosovo will enter together and prepared in any election process, believing it has the opportunity to offer sustainable and development solutions to the country”, the LDK says.
Also, Abdixhiku expressed the LDK's gratitude for the continued support the European Union has offered to Kosovo during all processes, praising the EU's important role in strengthening the country's stability, democracy and European orientation.
He stressed the need for deepening bilateral co-operation, especially in the areas of the economy, development and European integration, considering this an essential step in the journey of Kosovo towards a stable and better future for our citizens.
