He has said they are in the phase of initial preparations, but that the Government's decision should be adopted in the Assembly as well.
The lack of functioning of the Kosovo Assembly, in addition to many obstacles that made overall development, is becoming an obstacle to the failure of the KSF in Gaza. We're still in the preparation phase, but it's a procedure, but we need the decision in Government, this decision then moves to the Parliament, then by majority the Assembly mandates the KSF to participate in Gaza and is eventually forwarded to the president for approval”, Macedonia said in an interview in Tv1.
The defence minister has said that there has been co-ordination between Government and Presidency and other institutions for sending the KSF to Gaza.
It has also told of the number of soldiers who will be sent to Gaza and their composition.
We will send over 20 soldiers first, will be military of various fields, dominant will be more that is already a specialty The KSF, we'll have officers and deputy officers from special operations, but we'll also have planning officers who'll be in charge of the stabilisation force, but we'll also have medical teams that will be part of this KSF account”, Macedonia said.
He has said that Kosovo's participation in this mission is of particular importance, as in addition to contributing to peace and security, this mission has been approved in the UN and Kosovo participates in a UN mission without being its member.
