The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) has reacted sharply with regard to the contents of Shkelzen Gashi's exhibition, naming it as “scandalous” and “is extremely unacceptable”.
According to the LDK, Gashi's content of the exhibition presents a serious deviation from historical truth and a serious violation of the dignity of war victims and their families.

In a published response, the LDK stressed that Kosovo's war is a documented and internationally recognised historical event, and that any attempt to relativise its truth is not only wrong but also harmful to the collective memory of Kosovo citizens.

Kosovo's “War is not an open framework for relativism, nor is it an experimenting field for interpretations that distort the truth. It is a documented truth, sealed with human sacrifice and recognised by the international community,” is highlighted in response.

The opposition party also stressed concern over the fact that such an exhibition has been funded and promoted by the Kosovo Assembly, naming this a serious “institutional punishment”.

Kosovo's “state cannot be located in the role of the sponsor of turbers that conflict with war truth and with the dignity of its citizens,” is said in the LDK response.

The LDK has expressed full support for the special prosecutor's commitment and has demanded that this case be addressed with full seriousness and impartiality, demanding the dawning of any possible responsibility.

Likewise, the League has sought clear public responsibility from all those who enabled funding, support and promotion of the exhibition, stressing that this is a responsibility to the history and victims of war.

In the end, the LDK has requested a clear and public apology from state institutions for violating the sense of justice and respect for war victims. Kosovo cannot build its future on deformities of truth.

Protecting historical truth and the dignity of victims is the fundamental state obligation,” completes the LDK's response.

With this response, the Democratic League of Kosovo has stressed that it will remain steadfast in defending the historical truth and the dignity of the victims of war, stressing that the truth cannot be negotiated.

Full response:

The Democratic League of Kosovo names the contents of the latest exhibition on Kosovo's war as scandalous and deeply unacceptable. It represents a serious deviation from historical truth and a serious violation of the dignity of victims and their families.
The Kosovo war is not an open framework for relativism, nor is it an experimenting field for interpretations that distort the truth. It is a documented truth, sealed with human sacrifice and recognised by the international community. Any attempt to distort this truth is not only wrong but also harmful to collective memory and to the very foundations upon which the Republic of Kosovo stands.
Even more serious is the fact that such content has been financed and promoted by the highest state institution, from the Kosovo Assembly. This is not just an assessment mistake; it is a serious institutional failure. The state of Kosovo cannot be placed in the role of the sponsor of the Narrates that clash with the truth of its war and with the dignity of its citizens.
The Democratic League of Kosovo expresses full support for the Special Prosecutor's commitment and expects this case to be addressed with full seriousness, impartiality and determination, until the dawn of any possible responsibility.
At the same time, we seek clear public responsibility from all those who have enabled funding, support, and promotion of this exhibition. This responsibility is not only administrative; it is responsible for history, victims and citizens of the Republic.
We also seek a clear and public apology of the state responsible for the families of victims and all citizens for violating their sense of justice and respect.
Such topics cannot be addressed without strict professional standards, without deepening verification and institutional control. Historical memory is not an Improvization area. It requires responsibility, seriousness, and constant devotion.
Kosovo cannot build its future on deformities of truth. Protecting historical truth and the dignity of victims is the fundamental state obligation and the red line that cannot be passed.
The Democratic League of Kosovo will stand firm in defending these principles, with full responsibility and awareness that the truth is not negotiated.
