In his address to football players and staff, Prime Minister Kurti congratulated the Dardans on the historic victory at Bratislava, stressing that the journey to the final is fully deserved.
He highlighted the team's statistics and presentations during this cycle, underlining that “10 goals scored in 7 matches during this journey are the best evidence that this final is more than deserved”.
Kurti highlighted the team's hard work, commitment and unity, remembering that the National Party has conducted an impressive series of results, including victory over Sweden, Slovenia, Iceland and Slovakia over the past year.
Speaking to the opponent, he stressed that Turkey is a qualitative team, but also urged football players to have confidence in themselves:
Don't look at your opponent more than yourself. You have a strong opponent on Tuesday evening, but they have a stronger opponent than you, and that's exactly you Kosovo boys”.
The prime minister also underlined Kosovo's major progress in the last decade, linking it to sports development and international successes. He added that the qualifications at the World Cup represents an extraordinary step for the country, putting Kosovo at the centre of global attention. According to him, millions of viewers worldwide attend this event, and through the Nationals there is the possibility that Kosovo's history and talent will be presented in the largest arena.
Among you as a team, we have the opportunity to put Kosovo and its history of resistance and talent in the eyes of all humanity. There is not only one country behind you, but an entire nation. They're fans at the stadium, they're your families, they're citizens in every apartment, village and city, and they're all Albanians anywhere in the world. This massive support is your strength and take it with you to the field. And don't forget the trust for victory in this final you built as a team, with the coach and all the staff leading and supporting”, Kurti added.
Next, Kurt stressed the tremendous support the team enjoys from fans and the entire Albanian nation: “After you is not just one state, but an entire nation... This massive support is your strength and take it with you to field”
He concluded his speech with a motivating message for the team, encouraging them to believe in themselves and give the maximum: “This is the moment to write your history and that of Kosovo. Get out on the field and tell me who you are. Play it freely, fight for each other and give it your best every minute of the game. Good priest.
On behalf of the Nationale, the prime minister thanked Captain Vedat Muriqi, who stressed the team's maximum commitment: “We always give our maximum, and no doubt we do this for our flag and country to be known as much in the eyes of the world.
