Kosovo, Panama abolish visas for diplomatic passports

The Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Panama have taken a new step in strengthening bilateral relations, signing an agreement on abolishing visas for holders of diplomatic and official passports.

The agreement has been signed by Kosovo Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspore Kreshnik Ahmeti, and acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Carlos A. Hoyos, at an official ceremony that stressed the two countries' readiness to deepen co-operation and diplomatic ties.

Prior to the signing, during a bilateral meeting, representatives of the two states have also discussed launching procedures towards abolishing visas for holders of regular passports. Also, the focus of the talks has been on opportunities to enhance co-operation in various areas such as security, higher education and tourism.

The parties have also agreed that the next round of political consultations between the two ministries, at the level of deputy ministers, will take place in Pristina at the end of 2026.

The Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Panama have marked an important step towards deepening bilateral relations through the signing of the visa-free agreement for holders of diplomatic and official passports.
The agreement was signed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo Kreshnik Ahmeti, and Minister of Foreign Affairs in office of the Republic of Panama, Carlos A. Hoyos, at an official ceremony reconfirming the two countries' commitment to advancing co-operation and strengthening diplomatic ties.
During the bilateral meeting preceding the signing, the parties discussed launching procedures towards abolishing visas as well as holding regular passports, as well as enhancing co-operation in areas of mutual interest, including security, higher education and tourism.
Also, it was agreed that the next round of political consultations between the two ministries, at the level of deputy ministers, will be held in Pristina at the end of 2026.
