The Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Panama have taken a new step in strengthening bilateral relations, signing an agreement on abolishing visas for holders of diplomatic and official passports.
The agreement has been signed by Kosovo Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspore Kreshnik Ahmeti, and acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Carlos A. Hoyos, at an official ceremony that stressed the two countries' readiness to deepen co-operation and diplomatic ties.
Prior to the signing, during a bilateral meeting, representatives of the two states have also discussed launching procedures towards abolishing visas for holders of regular passports. Also, the focus of the talks has been on opportunities to enhance co-operation in various areas such as security, higher education and tourism.
The parties have also agreed that the next round of political consultations between the two ministries, at the level of deputy ministers, will take place in Pristina at the end of 2026.
