KB through a response has said Kosovo's history cannot be rewritten.
Kosovo's “History is not rewritten with sponsors, nor with public exhibitions.
The “Masakrat exhibition in Kosovo 19981999”, organised by ADMOVERE and Integre, affects one of our country's worst wounds. Any attempt to relativize, tame or select the truth of these crimes is unacceptable and offensive to the victims and their families”, said their response.
The GDP has estimated that funding this exhibition from the Kosovo Assembly constitutes a misuse of citizens' taxes.
They have also asked the financial businesses of this exhibition to apologize in their response.
The Kosovar Business Alliance (AKB) estimates that the inclusion of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo in financing this exhibition could constitute misusing Kosovo citizens' taxes if its contents deviate from historical truth and relating recorded war crimes. Likewise, sponsoring companies that supported this activity E. XFIS, Dukagnani Library, JY The SK, KFC, as well as Cultural Heritage organisations without Borders and Besa-Bes must seriously reflect on their role and apologise to the Kosovo public if this initiative is perceived as a deviation from historical truth”, it is said in their response.
The Alliance of Businesses has called for immediate reaction from the prosecution regarding the inaccurate record of the recent war in Kosovo.
The support of initiatives that relativize or distort historical truth places these subjects in the face of moral and public responsibility. They should feel responsibility in front of Kosovo citizens, in front of victims' families, and before history. The massacres of 19981999 are not a matter of interpretation -- they are documented crimes and testified with blood and sacrifice. In this context, The UN wants the State Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo to review this case and assess whether there are elements of misuse of public means and whether through these activities it is trying to distort Kosovo's historical truth. The GDP demands full responsibility who financed this exhibition, what was its goal and why it is trying to change the Narrativa for war crimes in Kosovo. On the contrary, the civic, business community and consumer response will be inevitable, until the boycott of sponsoring companies' products and services. Truth is not negotiated. History does not differ, remember sponsor”, said in response.
