Kosovo Assembly meets April 2nd for review of international agreements

Some important legislative issues, including seven bills for ratification of international agreements, are expected to be considered in this session. These include agreements with the European Union on IPA 2017 and 2018 programmes, as well as loan agreements with financial institutions such as the European Investment Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the Saudi Fund for Development for Energy, Infrastructure and Environment Projects.
Also, on the agenda is the formation of several ad-hoc commissions for selecting members of the Independent Media Commission and on the board of Kosovo Radio Television.

Assembly of the Headship of the Assembly
On Thursday, April 2nd, at 10:00, the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo will meet at the regular plenary session. So decided the Chief of the Assembly at today's meeting, conducted by President Albulen Haxhiu.
Bills for ratification of several international agreements will be addressed in this session, as well as other important legislative issues.
Thus, after statements outside the agenda and parliamentary questions, the Assembly will consider seven bills: The draft law on ratification of the High Education Access Agreement and acceptance for studies in the Western Balkans; Bill to ratify Amendment No. 3 of the Financial Agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and the European Union for the IPA 2018 Programme; Bill to ratify Amendment No. 2 of the Financial Agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and the European Union for the IPA 2017 Programme; The bill for ratification of the Credit Agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and the European Investment Bank for the Photovoltaic Solar Energy Project at KEK Global Gate; The bill for ratification of the Credit Agreement between the Republic of Kosovo, represented by the Ministry of Finance, Labour and Transfers, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development ( B ERZh) for the Energy Efficiency Project in public buildings; The draft law for ratification of the Kosovo Credit Agreement “Project of the High Speed Path Pristina ♫ Mitrovica” (added credit) between the Saudi Fund for Development and the Republic of Kosovo; and the Bill for ratification of the Credit Agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for the “Blackwater treatment facility at Podujevo”.
Following the session is the formation of the Ad-Hoc Commission to select candidates for a member of the Independent Media Commission; forming the Ad-Hoc Commission for selecting candidates for three members from the Albanian community ranks; and for two members from non-party communities in the Independent Media Commission; as well as forming the Ad-Hoc Commission for the six members of the Albanian community, a member of the Serb community and a member of the majority non-party communities at the Kosovo Radiovision Board.
On the agenda of this session will also be the GP proposal of the Serbian List for the appointment of MP Branislav Nikolic to parliamentary commissions, review of Zubin Potok's Community Budget for 2026, as well as the formation of the Add hoc Commission for drafting the Suicide Prevention Bill.
