In published response, O The VL-KLA stresses it is deeply offensive that at a ceremony dedicated to the history and sacrifice of liberation war, former fighters, families of martyrs and disabled of war are not present.
According to the organisation, the very men and women who took up arms for freedom and sacrificed for the state of Kosovo have been left out of a ceremony dedicated to their history.

It is unacceptable and deeply offensive that at a solemn session of the Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo dedicated to the KLA Age, representatives of war categories should not be invited at all.
The very men and women who with rifles raised and defended the ideal of freedom, those who sacrificed everything for this country, were now left out of a ceremony dedicated to their history and sacrifice. This is not just institutional neglect, but a direct disregard for warriors, families of martyrs, disabilities, and all who carry the burden of the war on freedom.
It is paradoxical to talk about the glory of the Kosovo Liberation Army inside the Parliament hall, while outside it is left precisely the people who created that story with their blood and sacrifice.
Categories removed from war require, not privileges, but institutional respect. The story of the liberation war cannot be remembered by excluding those who made it history.
