Why Mr. Ramos?
President of the Decani Community, Mr. Ramosaj, in a public proposal, is expressed in harsh tones against “Decani's movement”, naming it as a organisation that “is neither national nor state and has no knowledge nor imam”.
These statements are strong and, in my assessment, inadequate to a movement that, according to its attitudes and activities, aims at protecting and promoting national and state values. Members and leadership of the “Decani Movement” are oriented towards preserving national identity and strengthening state consciousness.
The Decani's “movement has clearly articulated its stance against any activity that violates national interests. In this context, it has raised concern for some religious preachers whose ideology conflicts with national values and endangers traditional religious harmony and tolerance in Albanian society.
It is important to note that this move is not against any religion. On the contrary, it opposes the penetration of foreign ideology, whether of Arabic or Turkish origin, which is perceived as incompatible with Albanian tradition and national identity.
If this attitude is considered antinational, then the legitimate question is asked: What is it today that constitutes literal national activity?
Failure to respond to Albanian attitudes and activities that oppose the national flag, Albanian language, traditions and culture cannot be considered acceptable. These phenomena are opposed by “The Decani movement”.
Its goal remains to preserve and promote Albanian culture, language and traditions. This mission does not fade from critical statements, despite their institutional level.
The more efforts to assimilate cultural and ideologically through foreign elements and undemocratic ideologies increase, the greater the social response to national identity. This is a natural development.
In this context, it is expected that even their institutions and representatives, including Mr. Ramosaj, take a clear stand against any form of antinational activity and ideological extremism.
The Decani municipality represents an area of particular sensitivity because of historical and political circumstances. Such issues require increased attention and careful institutional treatment.
Protecting national identity and Albanian values is not an antinational or anti-state act; rather, it constitutes a civic and institutional obligation.
Mr. Ramosaj is an experienced politician and consolidated formation. In this spirit, reflection is expected and a more balanced approach to high-sensitive issues for nation and state.
