The Iranian Parliament Speaker has issued an indirect warning to the United States, while amphibious warships and navy forces and sea crew are being deployed in the region.
Mohammad Bagher Ghalibauff, who has emerged as a potential conversationist with the Trump administration, said in an X post: “How can the US, which cannot protect even its soldiers at its bases in the region and instead keep them hidden in hotels and parks, protect them on our land?”
White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavet said in a statement that US President Donald Trump said he was not planning to send ground troops anywhere at this time. But CNN has reported that Pentagon officials preparing for a new phase of war have drawn up scenarios for sending troops to occupy different targets within Iran, according to more than six people known with discussions.
