Like many survivors, she says that Epstein's abuse had filled her with shame and guilt. But after her name was made unintentionally public during the publication of millions of documents by the American government, she told BBC Newsnight that she felt the need to speak.

You take a moment when you feel like you're choking and you need to breathe, and I feel like this is my way of breathing”, Harrison said.

BBC Newsnight brought Harrison and four other Epstein survivors for the first time in the same room. During the subsequent several - hour discussion, there were gestures of support, and as they looked at pictures of themselves from the time they first met Epstein, there were tears.

In the extensive interview, survivors told their stories of pain and anger. Some remembered the past time on the notorious private island of Epstein, Little St James, while others confessed frightening “ ” at his farm in New Mexico.

They said they believed that the powerful figures he associated with were probably aware of what was happening.

A victim's identity becomes public

Millions of documents related to investigation into Epstein were published by the US Department of Justice, but some unreadable materials failed to hide the identity of the victims.
Harrison was one of the people whose name became public.

She told BBC Newsnight that she had never wanted these documents published for fear of losing anonymity.

It's not normal to see your abuser's face every day for six years on television”, Harrison said.

She showed that she had met Epstein in Florida when she was 18, and, like many other survivors, all had started with a massage.

Everything seemed normal”, she said. When he started jerking off, I completely numbed. I don't think I said more than two words on my way home”.

Later she confessed that Epstein had been raped on his birthday.

Speaking publicly for the first time, Harrison said he doubted that she and other survivors would ever receive justice now that Epstein is dead. “I have questions that I will never get answers to”.

Five countries in five days with Clinton, Spacey and Maxwell

Chauntae Davies shared an unpublished photo with BBC Newsnight from the time he traveled on Epstein's private plane to Africa.

The photos included Epstein's associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, as well as actor Kevin Spacey and former President Bill Clinton. Space and Clinton were traveling on a humanitarian mission to promote AIDS prevention.

I described in my diary as the weirdest group to gather... it was almost like a camp, because we traveled to five different places for five days”, she said. On the plane, they ate snacks, played cards, and told stories.

The “was a truly unique experience in life, but unfortunately was tarnished by what happened behind closed doors”, she added.

Davies said he was raped by Epstein on his private island after being hired to massage.

The trained massageist recalled during the discussion that he had given Clinton a neck and back massage at an airport in Portugal, while the plane was being supplied with fuel. At the time, she had written in the journal that the former president was humble, kind and charismatic.

Clinton was asked about this interaction during a testimony in front of the House of Representatives Monitoring Committee in February. He said he would have wanted Davies to tell you about Epstein's actions.

But Davies said he never thought to inform him: “I wouldn't talk about it with anybody”.

What would he actually have done? Could Clinton have stopped this? Maybe we'll never know”

At one point, while in Portugal, Davies thought that he had helped Clinton buy jewelry for his daughter, Chelsea.

Clinton has repeatedly declared that he has not witnessed Epstein's abuse. His name appears hundreds of times in documents linked to Epstein, but reference to such documents does not mean guilt.

Meanwhile, Kevin Spacey has requested that all related documents be published. He is saying that people who have done nothing wrong have no reason to fear the truth, so complete publishing of the documents should happen as soon as possible.

The scary “farm” of Epstein in New Mexico

Earlier this year, the Justice Department documents issued new charges concerning Epstein, which prompted the American state of New Mexico to reopen a criminal investigation into its farm, Zorro Ranch.

Previously, the state had closed its initial investigation in 2019, following a request by federal prosecutors in New York.

The majority of attacks occurred there. My darkest memories are from Zorro Ranch”, Davies said.
Recalling how she felt there, she told BBC Newsnight she felt that “blocked”.

The “was a cold, dark place and with a frightening feeling”, she said.

Lisa Phillips, another survivor who spoke of BBC Newsnight, reinforced this description.

I remember thinking: this place is really scary, it just felt like this”

Davies said he believes there is still much to be discovered about what happened at Zorro Ranch.

I like to have evidence against people”, Epstein told a survivor

According to Davies, Epstein liked to boast about his powerful friends.

She said he boasted he lent it to Sarah Ferguson, former York Duke. It wasn't secret”, Davies said.

Epstein's property had pictures of Ferguson with her former husband, Andrew. Mountbatten-Windsor, and their daughters, according to Davies.

Lisa Phillips, who was a model at the time, also talked about Epstein's connections with Mountbatten-Windsor.

She confessed the story of a friend who did not speak publicly and wants to remain anonymous, who was allegedly instructed to have sexual relations with her.

According to her, her friend had gone to Epstein's apartment in Upper East Side of New York in 2003, where she was told to enter a room and have relations with a man she believed was Mountbatten-Windsor.

Mountbatten-Windsor has repeatedly denied all charges.

Phillips said that he later asked Epstein why she had forced her friend to have relations with her. According to her, Epstein had smiled with irony and answered: “I like to have evidence against people”.

“He liked the fear in our eyes”, she said of his abuses. I think he liked that we were frozen out of fear and we didn't know what to do”.

In the interview, Phillips called on British police to contact her for information on her friend's case and the possible involvement of Mountbatten-Windsor.

Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested in February under suspicion of abuse of public office. The investigation relates to claims that he had shared confidential information with Epstein while serving as a commercial envoy of the United Kingdom.

Survivors who spoke of BBC Newsnight also said they do not believe Epstein killed himself.

We knew what kind of man he was”, Phillips said.

Epstein was found dead in his cell on August 10, 2019, at the Metropolitan Correst Centre in New York, where he was held on charges of sexual trafficking and conspiracy, pending trial. His death was declared suicide by New York's legal doctor.

“doesn't smile at the same”

Jenna-Lisa Jones and Wendy Pesante met Epstein when they were only 14. They were friends then, and even after the years and experience of abuse, they still remain friends.

When you go through such a thing at such a young age, it distorts your reality for a long time”, Pesante said. You don't have to think of a sex worker at the age of 14”.

At one point in the interview, five survivors were given pictures of themselves from the time they had met Epstein.

“doesn't smile the same now”, Harrison said, looking at his picture at the age of 18.

Phillips saw a picture of her wearing a bright pink set on a boat, and he realized that the island of Epstein was in the background.

I was enjoying my life and I had no idea what would happen to me”, she said.
I didn't look like this when I left island” /Time
