In a public message, Erdogan expressed his pride for Turkey's “Djemes”, who secured global participation after 24 years.
He wished for successes for the team in the group phase, where Turkey is expected to face Australia, Paraguay and the United States of America.
“We strongly believe that our boys will proudly represent our flag with half-fields and stars and make our nation proud”, said among other things in the Turkish president's response.
