Lawyer Ardian Bajraktari has said that Narrativa, such as this of Gashi's exhibition, should have no place in Kosovo squares.
“Narratives aimed at rewrite or distort history should have no place in our squares.”, he told news.net
On the other hand, the prominent lawyer indicated it is reasonable for the prosecution to activate in this case. He added that the assessment should be made that if elements of the criminal work to promote division exist.
The actions through which try to relate war as our sublimate value and to distort historical reality cannot and should not be tolerated. In this context, it is reasonable that the prosecution will start its work in terms of collecting information and evaluation if there are elements of the criminal act, most likely “The incentive of division and incompatibility”, seen in Article 141 of the Penal Code.”, he said.
Bajraktari finally said that for this criminal offence, the Code provides fines or imprisonments of up to five years.
“The essence of this criminal act lies in preventing the promotion or public spread of hatred, division or failure between national, racial, religious, ethnic or other groups defined on the basis of personal characteristics. For this work, the Code envisions fine sentences or imprisonment of up to five years.”, he said.
