Activists said their action aims to correct, as expressed, a warped truth and to protect the victims' historical memory. According to them, the exposure of the last days to the public has maintained inaccuracies that should not be tolerated.
One of the activists, Wisar Dili, stressed that the action was an expression of civic discontent and efforts to restore the truth about victims.
And we today, in a sign of disappointment, have developed this symbolic action by wanting once again to testify that the truth lies remain in another form and that what is exposed in Pristina Square is a lie and we are not interested in getting information and evidence from our century-old enemy, but the information and evidence we have in all around Kosovo, in all those graves, all the memorials that are found<1>, he said.
Activist Astrit Djoci stressed that efforts to justify the situation and politicise the debate are unacceptable, demanding that the issue be addressed only on the basis of facts and arguments.
And today this reaction comes back as a cause of what they started to reason, in the sense of amortizing it as symbolic of this exhibition and in some form disinclination among citizens by creating narravva as if this is a political attack. And this cannot happen either to have attacks within political sense, but not to have protection within political sense, but to have attack and protection within facts and arguments because it's something that represents us as a people, it's a sacrifice that we've given too much. And today this freedom and this manner of exhibition and this way of expressing our discontent is only because of that sacrifice and the blood that has been shed”, he said.
Joci said an apology from organisers would have been sufficient to calm reactions, but according to him, the reasonings given so far have only added to the frustration and resentment of citizens.
While talking about verifying the data, he said mistakes have been easily checked through existing sources in Kosovo, such as the cemetery and memorials of victims.
And the tenacity to reason with those facts, showing us how reference Natasa has been persecuted, is once more insulting than the insult that has occurred through the banners. It's been very easily verifiable, there's no need to be based on Natasa Kapuri when they're behind the graves in Prekaz and they can go back and count the graves if they don't have names and there's no official list behind them. There's no need for Natasa Kawlas to be followed by graves in Krusha and to have the memorials with all the victims' names, and there's no need because there's a memorial in Dubrava that has names, whether it's an official list or not. These may be easily verifiable because the graves do not disappear, the victims have existed, people today, families still have open wounds and can explain because there are those who have experienced that horror in the Dubrava Prison and there is no need to go to Natasa Katrua Ka exactly”, he said.
Activists demanded that relevant institutions seriously address this issue and ensure that such cases do not repeat in the future, stressing that respect for historical truth is due to victims and their families.
Meanwhile, the action by activist Asttrit Djoci had started since last night as a sign of dissatisfaction with mistakes in Kosovo's “Masakrat data in 1998-1999”.
The Pristina municipality lifted permission for putting the exhibition on the square, the capital teams removed the signs.
Two days ago, citizens and former prisoners reacted to the smallest number of those killed in Krusha and Prekaz, as well as to the content saying 45 Albanian prisoners killed in Dubrava Prison were armed.
