AGK condemns Lumir Abdixhik's unacceptable and dangerous language against media and journalists
The Kosovo Journalists' Association (AGK) strongly condemns the repeated accuser language of LDK chairman Lumir Abdjiku against the media and journalists in Kosovo.
Abdixhiku in a TV interview last night spoke again about “mercenaries media” saying that “very easily give a slander, without responsibility, only that you increase the bank account from sponsors, various opponents” there.
These claims by Mr. Abdixhiku are a frontal attack against the media, media freedom and expression in Kosovo.
Such a language with qualifications as “mercenar” is irresponsible, unacceptable, very dangerous and could pose problems even in violating journalists' physical security.
It is especially sorry that these statements of Mr. Abdixhiku come at the time he is in the opposition, and with the support of 13 %s.
AGK invites Mr. Abdidjik to give up these speculations and if there is evidence to denounciate them in the responsible bodies. The AGK also invites Mr. Abdixhiku, who along with his party's 14 other deputies in the Parliament, the LDK to contribute to a free media environment.
