The growth of oil prices is directly affecting the entire economy, increasing transport, production and supply costs, as well as prices of products and services. As a result, citizens' purchasing power is in decline and a domino effect is developing that affects businesses and consumers. The lack of concrete institutional measures in this situation remains disturbing for economic stability. Instead of facilitating policies, approaches that make business operation difficult are being observed, while international practices show the need to reduce fiscal burden, support critical sectors and create strategic reserves”, AAK writes on paper.
This political subject, as a first measure, requires the immediate release of at least 50% of the VAT for derivatives”.
“2. The temporary removal of the excise for oil to stabilise the market, which together with VAT would affect lowering the price by about 40 cents per litre; 3. The urgent creation of a joint task force with the Economic Ode, the Oil Association and other relevant associations, in collaboration with MINT and the Ministry of Economy and Finance; 4. The renting of existing depots at 550 main points and the creation of maximum strategic oil reserves”, it says on paper.
