This is one of the largest massacres committed by Serbian paramilitary forces, who in 1999 launched a vicious offensive to the people of Irzniqi and Beleg, one day after they suffered losses from the Kosovo Liberation Army.
To this day, the fate of 33 of this village's found and other villages of Decani remains unresolved.
