12 years from the greatest mystery of modern aviation, the disappearance of MH370 with 239 passengers

On March 8, 2014, Flight Malaysia Airlines MH370 of the Malaysia Airlines company disappeared mysteriously during a routine flight from Kuala Lampur to Beijing. There were 239 people on board. More than a decade later, the remains of the aircraft have not yet been found, and its disappearance remains one of the most [...] puzzles.
More than a decade later, the remains of the aircraft have not yet been found, and its disappearance remains one of the largest puzzles in aviation history.
The plane rose from Kuala Lampur at 2 o'clock. Everything seemed normal until 1:19 in the morning, when the last message from the pilot's cabin was heard from “Good night Malaysian Three Seven Zero-x1>
Just two minutes later, the transponder, the system that makes the plane visible to civilian radar, was shut down. But what happened next is even more strange.
Military radar discovered that the plane did not proceed to China. He made a sudden turn and flew westward, passing over Malaysia and then over the Strait of Malaka. At 2:22, even military radars lost track of the plane.
Although he disappeared from radar, the aircraft continued to communicate indirectly with the satellites of the Inmars company through automatic signals called <x0ps”.
Analysis of these signals showed that the plane continued flying for another six hours, heading toward a remote area of the South Indian Ocean.
The final signal was recorded about 8:19 a.m. Investigators believe that his plane was out of fuel at that moment, and he fell into the ocean.
The MH370 search operation became the largest in aviation history. Over $11,000 square miles [120 sq km] of the ocean floor were scanned and some $155 million spent, but no trace of the plane was found for years.
In 2015 alone, a piece of the arm was found on Réunion Island. Other pieces were later found on the shores of East Africa and Madagascar.
In the 1920 ' s, Ocean Infinity conducted a new search in another area of the Indian Ocean, but this operation was also complete.
Many experts believe that certain flight actions could not have happened by chance. Shutting down communication systems and changing courses suggest deliberate intervention by someone in the pilot's cabin.
According to the most mentioned scenario, the plane deliberately slipped south over the Indian Ocean and flew until its fuel ran out. However, no evidence has been found that explains why such an action could have taken place.
MH370's mystery also fostered many controversial theories that continue to circulate on the internet and on the media.
One theory claims that the plane may have been kidnapped and secretly seated in a remote military base.
Another theory suggests that the aircraft may have been accidentally crashed by the army of any state and that the incident has been kept secret to avoid an international crisis.
There are even more extreme hypotheses that claim that the aircraft may have been involved in technological experiments or that it may have been kidnapped because of some passengers working on sensitive technological projects.
Some theories even speculate about kidnapping by secret organizations or the deliberate disappearance of the aircraft for political reasons.
Yet, to this day there is no serious evidence that supports these claims.
Even after more than ten years of investigation and research, the exact location of the MH370 aircraft remains unknown.
Without the remains and flight recorders, the black boxes, it is almost impossible to know for sure what happened in the last hours of flight.
Thus, the disappearance of MH370 continues to remain one of the greatest mysteries of the modern era.
